Summary of WIM Welfare Trust UK Relief Operations in Kashmir & Pakistan
• Our first step towards the relief operation resulted in a Ward and an Operation Theatre at Gulab Davi Hospital, Lahore in collaboration with Dr M Akram (MS) and Dr A Rehman (Pathologist) in October 2005. A number of patients from Kashmir were treated in that hospital. WIM also provided transport facilities to these patients. At that time, there was no bed available in Rawalpindi and nearby hospitals, so patients had to be sent to Lahore for treatment.
